Play With My Emotions
One of the nicest compliments I ever received was from my uncle. He told me how much he enjoyed the emotions in my paintings. That was years ago, but I have always remembered and appreciated his observation.
I was so excited to see that I had been featured in another Treasury on Etsy. It's amazing how much emotion can be expressed in one look on a two-dimentional medium. One second gaze captured eternally - I am very glad to be a part of this list.

Bronwyn Biloela, Queensland, Australia
I am thrilled to be living in a time where we truly have a Global Community. I enjoy sharing on this Blog and the work I create for my shops and special customers. Bronwyn recently visited my blog and purchased a pair of earrings; she has a wonderful sense of humor and excellent taste! ;)

She also has a fabulous blog! Click on the banner below to explore!

Not only is she a wonderful artist in her own right, but she is an avid supporter of others. I am happy to support such a lovely human being and fellow artist!

Nibblefest Art Contest
Nibblefest Art Contest, is a themed art contest beginning on the 20th of each month on Ebay. For this month's Nibblefest theme: "Illustrate a Story or Poem", I chose a poem by Maya Angelou:
My Life Has Turned to Blue
Our summer's gone,
the golden days are through.
The rosy dawns I used to
wake with you
have turned to gray,
my life has turned to blue.
The once-green lawns
glisten now with dew,
Red robin's gone,
down to the South he flew,
Left here alone,
my life has turned to blue.
I've heard the news
that winter too will pass,
that spring's a sign
that summer's due to last.
But until I see you
lying in green grass,
my life has turned to blue.
(Auction ends August 27, 2007 at 7pm.)

Bar Mitzvah & Bat Mitzvah Season!
Most Bar and Bat Mitzvahs take place around the 13th birthday. However, while this season lasts all year long, Summer always seems excessively busy!
Here are a few gift ideas that you won't find at the local or online mega Judaica store. Click on the photo to be taken directly to the item!

Short Interview
Diane Sawyer: Staci, tell me, how did you get started creating jewelry?
Staci Rose: Well, when I was 13 my aunt sent me to summer camp with a bag of beads and some string. The rest, is history.

Working My Little Fingers!
A friend in High School used to call them penguin fingers, because they were so small that if penguins did have fingers they'd be about the same size. Very small. I can wear those stretch gloves and not stretch them.
I recently received an order for 500 wine charms that must be received before October 1st (and I have to take into account shipping time!) and got my supply order yesterday afternoon. I've been working night and day to get everything ready and am having a blast.

So! Please excuse me if you don't hear from me so frequently but I'll try! And, if you see me posting way too often, please tell me to get back to work!

Too Fruity to be Quartz?!!
I've come across it and I'm sure many others have as well...Strawberry Quartz...Pineapple Quartz...and someone's advertising it as Natural.
In actuality, most of the "fruity" Quartz stones are made of glass. This would include Strawberry, Cherry, Blueberry, Pineapple, etc. The "fruity" Quartz is a clear glass with a "line" pattern from the added color, like rutilated stones but more dyed looking. Opalite is another glass "stone" and is not natural.
The "fruity" Quartz and Opalite can be very fetching! However, they are made of glass and not "natural".
The most well-known stones from the Quartz family are Amethyst, Rose Quartz, and Carnelian (a Chalcedony and member of the Quartz family). The only exception I can think of to the "fruity" Quartz is glass is "Lemon Quartz" - which is usually a very yellow variation of Carnelian and most commonly found in pendants vs. strings of beads.
Many stones look alike and pictures on the internet are different on everyone's computer screens! (Aventurine & Jade, Aquamarine & Topaz, Pietersite & Chrysanthemum Stone)
Multi-gem necklace
from the Candy
Collection with
Jade Fish & long
teardrops.
I would suggest that you feel comfortable with your seller and ask as many questions as you might have! Be sure to feel confident in their responses and the items you are getting so you can treasure the work of art you are wearing!

Pride is Pretty!
In San Francisco, Pride Weekend is a big to-do, whatever your sexual orientation. My friend and I were reminiscing about the nice time we had with our neighbors. We spent the evening before the parade BBQing - which brought a few neighbors into the courtyard. And, about eight of us, some never having met before, were up until 2am talking and getting to know each other - having a wonderful time.
Yesterday night, I created this Treasury on Etsy, you can see it until Tuesday, August 14th, 7:05am. Click on the picture to view!
