Autumn Inspirations

I love the seasons of transition - Spring and Fall. I can relate to change so deeply that I enjoy watching the world change right before my eyes. The stunning scape of trees sleeping and leaves painted and falling. The beauty, the diversity and not to mention a great harvest! Squash, pomegranate, corn, apples - pumpkin pie, pomegranate salad, corn on the cob and cider.

I'm getting hungry...

One World - One Heart Event Winners!

Just so you know, I used a random number generator that was not my husband. He tried...but in the end, he just kept coming up with meaningful numbers...like the ones he uses to play the Lottery. I love him, but ixnayed him for something online and impersonal.

The winners are:

Hermine Koster
"One World - One Heart" Gemstone Necklace

She Became a Butterfly
"Um...That's Mine" Wine Charms

Diane Clancy
"Vibrant" Gemstone Earrings

Claudia
"Bacchanalia" Polymer Clay Pendant

You can click on their banners to visit their blogs and get to know them a little bit. A special thanks to all that participated! I absolutely enjoyed reading every comment. I wish I had more to give...and more money for postage (hint, hint...USPS rates are going up again this year!). In the meantime, please visit my Etsy and Ebay shops and drop a line from time to time here on my blog!

Zbella - Nature-Inspired Metal Artisan Jewelry
For me nature is the ultimate source of inspiration. Nature is all-encompassing, complex, beautiful, and unrelenting. I don't think that anything made by man can even begin to compare with the greatness of nature. The goal in my art (whether it's my jewelry, my watercolors, or my photography) is to capture just the tiniest bit of beauty that is found in nature. I don't try to compete with it; merely to try to convey some of the feeling that it inspires in me. Visit her shop of extraordinary art by clicking the banner below:

Dots, Lots of Dots!

What is it about dots that evoke descriptive words like "great", "fun", "happy", "pretty", "love"? There are plenty of other patterns: argyle, paisley, plaid. But, they just don't get that joyful feeling that dots seem to emote!

Sherry Truitt created a fabulous Treasury of Etsy artists and their dotted creations. Among them, my Dotted Polymer Clay Pendant...and, seriously, the whole thing just makes me want to smile and clap. Click on the image to view until Monday, November 12th!

Colors! Colors!

From the artists of EBSQ...such talented people!

And, it is such a treat to be a part of this group of talent! My polymer clay pendant is featured in the treasury below; simply click to view until Friday, November 9th.

Handcrafted indie artisan boutique jewelry and fashion accessories. Please visit this fabulous EBSQ artist by clicking the banner below!

Gifts Worth Giving

To create art or craft is one thing - and most artists have a drive and inherit need to paint, draw, sculpt, etc. To create something desirable, enjoyable, pleasurable....that's quite another thing altogether. It is known as the "anxiety factor", or "what-if-no-one-likes-this" syndrome.

So, you can imagine I had a nice big smile when I saw one of my polymer clay pendants featured in an Etsy Treasury. Click on the image below to view until Saturday, November 10th!

And, then click on the banner to visit Pop-o-licious Art by Kris Jean. She rocks.
